Back to back nine win days for us. That is a good start to the season. If we win 2/3’s of the games the entire season we will be ecstatic. More games today so let’s get right to it.
April 3rd, 2024 Picks:
Kansas City at Baltimore: Both teams are sending their opening day starter out to the mound for this game. The Orioles opening day starter is better than the Royals opening day starter. The Orioles are a better team than the Royals. Pretty easy pick here. Pick: Baltimore
Los Angeles Angels at Miami: We keep picking the Marlins and they keep letting us down. We have nine losses in the last two days and two of them are Miami. So what are we going to do? Pick them again! We like Miami to get their first win today. Pick: Miami
Minnesota at Milwaukee: Milwaukee still hasn’t lost, burning out to a 4-0 start. That ends today with Chris Paddack and Minnesota handing the Brew Crew their first loss of the season. Pick: Minnesota
Texas at Tampa Bay: We picked Texas in game one of this series and Tampa Bay in game two and got them both right. We have a good pitching matchup in the rubber match, but that Texas offense still scares the hell out of us. Give us the Rangers to get the series win and give us the series sweep. Pick: Texas
Atlanta at Chicago White Sox: We correctly picked the White Sox to get their first win of the season yesterday. We are not picking against the Braves two games in a row. With Spencer Strider on the mound, this is an easy call. Give us the Braves to roll. Pick: Atlanta
Boston at Oakland: Oakland was competitive yesterday, sending the game into extra innings but ultimately coming up short. We have to pick the Athletics at some point, so why not today. They get the win and avoid the sweep at the hands of the Red Sox. Pick: Oakland
New York Yankees at Arizona: The Yankees are human! They finally got their first loss of the season yesterday after five straight road wins. Now Carlos Rodon goes for New York trying to win the series. We think he will. Pick: New York Yankees
Cleveland at Seattle: Luis Castillo has not looked right in his first two starts of the year for the Mariners. Fortunately for Seattle, they have George Kirby to stem the tide. We expect a low scoring pitching dual that the Mariners will come out on top on. Pick: Seattle
Cincinnati at Philadelphia: How is Bryce Harper going to follow up his three homer game? Probably by hitting another man. When he gets hot there is no scarier hitter on the planet. We expect Bryce to carry the Phillies again. Pick: Philadelphia
St. Louis at San Diego: Both starting pitchers struggled in their first outing of the season. One will bounce back and one will not. We expect the bounce back to be Joe Musgrove and the Padres. Pick: San Diego
Pittsburg at Washington: Here is the game the Pirates will get their first loss. We don’t really like the Nationals and Pittsburgh has an advantage in starting pitching, so just call this one a gut feeling. Pick: Washington
Detroit at New York Mets: Going to say the same thing I said yesterday since that game was rained out. The Tigers are 4-0. The Mets are 0-4. Say no more. Pick: Detroit
Colorado at Chicago Cubs: The Rockies usually play better at Coors Field than they do away from it. That is why this 1-5 start, with all six games on the road, is not a surprise. That won’t change today as the Cubs get the sweep and hand the Rockies another loss. Pick: Chicago Cubs
Toronto at Houston: The only win for the Astros on this young season was the game their starting pitcher through a no-hitter. That will change today. Houston wins this and takes the series. Pick: Houston
San Francisco at Los Angeles Dodgers: We picked against the Dodgers yesterday and it cost us. We won’t be making that mistake again, especially with Tyler Glasnow on the mound. Give us the Dodgers here. Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers
Happy picking everyone!
