Yesterday was the worst day of picks we have ever had in Sports Predictions history, going 2-12. Thankfully today is a new day with 15 more games. We think today will be better, so here we go!

Arizona at Washington:

We picked Arizona as our lock on Friday and we don’t want to do it twice in the same series, but we are very confident that Corbin Burnes and the Diamondbacks are going to get the win today. Michael Soroka is throwing opposite him and while he has had some good moments in his career, he is not on Burnes’ level. Pick: Arizona

Loss

Los Angeles Dodgers at Philadelphia:

These two teams split the first two games of the series. With Tyler Glasnow pitching for the Dodgers we are going to take them to win the series. Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers

Loss

Miami at Atlanta:

This is where we pick the Marlins. We have picked Atlanta the last two days, but with Sandy Alcantara throwing for Miami, we like their chances. Pick: Miami - Postponed

New York Yankees at Pittsburgh:

If this game were at Yankee Stadium, it would be a lock for New York. Andrew Heaney is not a good pitcher, and Aaron Judge and co would light him up. They still probably will, but we are a bit less confident since this game is in Pittsburgh. Not confident enough to pick the Pirates, but there is an inkling there. Pick: New York Yankees

Loss

Chicago White Sox at Detroit:

Jackson Jobe looked okay in his first start of the season, but he is a guy who is making just his second start of his career. If the White Sox have a chance to win games, it is against pitchers like this. Young pitchers that are still learning about how to pitch in the big leagues. We think Chicago takes advantage here and gets the win. Pick: Chicago White Sox

Loss

Toronto at New York Mets:

For two teams with playoff aspirations, Bowden Francis vs David Peterson does not illicit much confidence. We know we talk about mainly pitchers here, but we have to give some love to the hitters on these teams. Bo Bichette, Vladdy, Pete Alonso, Francisco Lindor, and Juan Soto make this a fun series to watch. That is three Mets hitters and two Blue Jays hitters. Which is why we are going with the Mets. Pick: New York Mets

Win

Baltimore at Kansas City:

Today is a weird day for starting pitchers. A lot of the games have two pitchers who aren’t very good. That is what happens on the back end of rotations though. Should make Monday’s games a lot of fun. Anyways, today we have Cade Povich for the Orioles and Kris Bubic for the Royals. Will we be watching? No. But we will be picking Kansas City. Pick: Kansas City

Win

Cincinnati at Milwaukee:

Carson Spiers vs Chad Patrick. Sure? Honestly we have no clue who either of these pitchers are. We picked Cincinnati on Friday and Milwaukee on Saturday, so this is the rubber game for us. We are going to go with the Reds purely because they have the most fun player to watch in this game, which would be Elly De La Cruz. Pick: Cincinnati

Loss

Houston at Minnesota:

We were wrong about Ronel Blanco in his first start of the season. We thought he would come out firing but instead he came out and pitched perfectly average. Which isn’t terrible but isn’t what the Astros need. Houston is struggling to score runs so far this season, and that will be the reason why they lose today. Pick: Minnesota

Loss

San Diego at Chicago Cubs:

Another stellar pitching matchup. Kyle Hart against Ben Brown. Seriously, who are these guys. We have to pick someone here so we are going to go with the Cubs. Why, well we don’t have a valid answer, but we think the Cubs will win. Pick: Chicago Cubs

Loss

Tampa Bay at Texas:

Kumar Rocker got lit up like a Christmas tree in his firs start, giving up six runs in three innings. Now he faces a disciplined Tampa Bay lineup that likes to work the count and get the pitchers arm tired early. That is not a good combination. We like the Rays here. Pick: Tampa Bay

Loss

Athletics at Colorado:

We can’t pick the Rockies two days in a row. Just can’t do it. Thought about it for a split second and then said nah… Pick: Athletics

Loss

Seattle at San Francisco:

Seattle showed some offense on Friday, which is a welcome sight. If they can coming that with their excellent starting pitching they might be onto something. Bryan Woo likes pitching in the Bay Area, as evidenced by all of his success against they Athletics when they were in Oakland, so we are confident in the Mariners. Very confident in fact. Pick: Seattle (Lock)

Loss (Loss Record 5-6)

Cleveland at Los Angeles Angels:

Isn’t it fun seeing Mike Trout healthy. Sure he hasn’t hit the ball very much, but at least he is out on the field. With that being said, not even Trout can bring us to watch the Angels. They are just so boring. We won’t be watching this game but will be picking the Angels, just because we picked the Guardians on Friday and Saturday. Pick: Los Angeles Angels

Win

St. Louis at Boston:

The corpse of Miles Mikolas makes another turn in the rotation! We know he actually pitched pretty well in his first start, but that was against the Angels. The Red Sox are a much better offense than the Angels, which is why Mikolas won’t make it out of the fourth inning and Boston gets the win. Pick: Boston

Win

Happy picking everyone!
