What we got right:
College Basketball:
#20 USC at Washington - The Huskies had a 27-23 lead with five minutes left in the first half. The Trojans went on an 18-4 run in those five minutes and never looked back. Washington dropped to 3-15 overall this season and 2-11 in the conference. USC is at the top of the conference at 10-2, and is gaining steam as we head towards March.
NBA:
Miami at Houston - Jimmy Butler had a triple double as the Heat overcame a 10 point first quarter deficit to win 101-94. DeMarcus Cousins did have a good game in replacing the injured Christian Wood, as he had 16 points and 11 rebounds. That is the fourth straight win for the Heat and the fourth straight loss for the Rockets.
Toronto at Boston - Semi Ojeleye had a career high 24 points as the Celtics downed the Raptors 120-106 in Boston. Ojeleye hit six of Boston’s 20 three point baskets, as the Raptors couldn’t keep up with the ball movement of the Celtics. Boston is now 2-0 against Toronto this season, with both wins coming by double digits.

Nothing
NBA:
Indiana at Detroit - We took a chance with this game and it came back and bit us. Domantas Sabonis had 26 points to lead the Pacers to a 111-95 over the Pistons, snapping Indiana’s four game losing streak. Detroit was done in by the three point shot, as they made just 5-28 from beyond the arc while Indiana made 14-31 shots from deep.
Orlando at Golden State - We nailed that Stephen Curry would have a big game against the short handed Magic. Curry dropped 40 points, hitting 10 three pointers, in the 111-105 win for the Warriors. That is three straight losses for the Magic, who have fallen off a cliff in the last month because of all of their injuries.
Philadelphia at Portland - Portland just has Philadelphia’s number. After the 118-114 win last night, the Blazers earned the season sweep over the 76ers. Carmelo Anthony had us thinking it was 2007, dropping 24 points off the bench and making some big shots in the second half. Damian Lillard also had 30 points in the win for the Blazers, who improved to 14-10 this season.
What we pushed on:
College Basketball:
#24 Purdue at Minnesota- The line in this game was Minnesota by three. The Golden Gophers made two free throws with seven seconds left to get the 71-68 win and earn the push. Purdue has dropped two of its last three games, and will drop out of the rankings when the new ones come out on Monday.
