What we got right:
College Basketball:
#6 Houston at Wichita State - We thought this was going to be a close game that Houston pulled out. It was the other way around. Wichita State covered the 7.5 point spread by beating the Cougars 68-63. The Shockers got a very important win here and we think that if they avoid any bad losses, they will make the NCAA Tournament.
#4 Ohio State at Penn State - Ohio State won its seventh straight game with a 92-82 victory over Penn State to set up a massive showdown on Saturday. Usually when you see #3 Michigan vs #4 Ohio State you are talking about football. Not this year. These are the two teams that have the best chance to beat Gonzaga or Baylor in our opinion.

Nothing
What we got wrong:
College Basketball:
#11 Iowa at #21 Wisconsin - Iowa has now beat a team with a number next to its name that isn’t Rutgers. The Hawkeyes got the win over the Badgers 77-62, and they did it by playing their best defensive game of the season. Iowa held Wisconsin to 30% shooting. The Badgers like to play slow, so if their shot isn’t falling their style isn’t conducive to a come back. That is what happened here.
Saint Mary’s at #1 Gonzaga - We thought this game would be closer, because of the rivalry aspect between the two teams. Gonzaga had other ideas. The Bulldogs pulled their starters with eight minutes left in the game and a 30 point lead. Saint Mary’s made a charge late to close the gap, but it wasn’t enough to cover the spread as the Bulldogs won 87-65. Gonzaga has one conference game left and we are hoping they schedule someone between that game and the WCC Tournament. Perhaps a certain team from Waco, if they can get healthy.
Rutgers at #3 Michigan - Michigan also took care of business before their showdown with Ohio State, beating Rutgers 71-64. They didn’t do enough to cover the nine point spread, but this was still a quality win. Now they turn their attention to their biggest game of the season, and the Sunday showdown with the Buckeyes will be must watch.
#25 San Diego State at Fresno State - San Diego State won its seventh game in a row, beating Fresno State 67-53. The Aztecs used a 19-0 run in the first half to pull away from the Bulldogs. Fresno State actually scored the first 11 points of this game, before San Diego State scored the next 19 and never looked back.
NBA:
Toronto at Milwaukee - Is it time to panic in Milwaukee? The Raptors beat the Bucks for the second time in three days to hand Milwaukee their fifth consecutive loss. Milwaukee’s ruthless offense has been missing the last two weeks, and their defense isn’t good enough to carry them in games. They need to figure out how to score, and soon.
Brooklyn at Los Angeles Lakers - Brooklyn won its fifth straight game in beating Los Angeles 109-98, behind the play of James Harden and Joe Harris. Harden scored 23 points and Harris added 21 as the Nets handed the Lakers their second loss in the three games they have missed Anthony Davis. It is not time to panic for the Lakers. They just need to stay afloat until Davis returns.
Miami at Sacramento - Shame on us for picking the Kings. We should have known this game was going to be a matchup nightmare for them. Jimmy Butler had his third consecutive triple double in the 118-110 win, showing some signs of life for the Heat. Miami still has a lot of ground to make up, but in the Eastern Conference no one is out of it.
