February 21, 2021 Picks:

College Basketball:

#3 Michigan(-1.5) at #4 Ohio State - The big game in the Big Ten has arrived. Ohio State comes into this game having won seven games in a row, while Michigan has won four in a row and still only has one loss this season. This game is for inside position in the Big Ten ranking, and the winner is pretty much a lock for a #1 seed. This is going to be a good game, but we like the Wolverines to pull it out late. Pick: Michigan 81 Ohio State 77

Cincinnati at #6 Houston (-13) - Cincinnati was 3-7 to start the season, but has ripped off four straight wins to get back to. All four of those games have been decided by three points or less. Houston is coming off a loss in its last game to Wichita State. We like the Cougars to win, but we think 13 points is too much. Pick: Houston 76 Cincinnati 69

Penn State at Iowa (-10.5) - Penn State has lost three straight games, including an explicable loss to Nebraska. Iowa has won three in a row, including a big win over Wisconsin its last game. The Hawkeyes have one of the best offenses in College Basketball, and that will showcase today as they beat the Nittany Lions by double figures. Pick: Iowa 86 Penn State 71

#21 Wisconsin (-5.5) at Northwestern - Northwestern has now lost 12 games in a row. Wisconsin has dropped two straight, but both of those games were against ranked competition. The first game between these two teams was a 16 point win for the Badgers. We think they will sweep the Wildcats, and will do so rather comfortably. Pick: Wisconsin 74 Northwestern 62

NBA:

Boston (-2) at New Orleans - Boston has dropped three consecutive road games, and now heads to the Big Easy to face a Pelicans team that has dropped four out of five. New Orleans has a good offense, but their defense has not been able to stop anyone. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown will both have big games for the Celtics, who will get the win. Pick: Boston 117 New Orleans 110

Oklahoma City (-2.5) at Cleveland - Cleveland comes into this game coming off nine straight losses and now hosts a Thunder team that has lost three games in a row. One of these teams has to win this game. We don’t know why, but we are going with the Cavaliers to break their losing streak and get the win. Pick: Cleveland 108 Oklahoma City 103

Detroit at Orlando (-2.5) - This game is between two of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference. Orlando has faced a litany of injuries, while Detroit is playing better since sending Blake Griffin home. The Magic should have the majority of its players back, and we are going with the Magic to get the win because of that. Pick: Orlando 112 Detroit 107

Philadelphia (-3) at Toronto - The Raptors are playing their best basketball of the season, having won three games in a row with two of those games being against the Milwaukee Bucks. Even though the Raptors are playing well, the 76ers have Joel Embiid. Toronto doesn’t have anyone that can stop Embiid, and for that reason we are picking Philadelphia. Pick: Philadelphia 118 Toronto 112

Minnesota at New York (-3) - Minnesota doesn’t have a great offense. New York has the best defense in the NBA. That is not a good recipe for a Timberwolves team trying to break a three game losing streak. Their is still plenty of room on the Knicks bandwagon. Come join us. Pick: New York 107 Minnesota 98

Denver (-3) at Atlanta - Jamal Murray had 50 points in the last game for the Nuggets, and now he takes the court again as the Nuggets and Hawks square off in Atlanta. Trae Young hasn’t had an explosive game yet for the Hawks, so why not today? Give us Atlanta, behind a huge game from Young, to get the home win against the Nuggets. Pick: Atlanta 121 Denver 115

Brooklyn at Los Angeles Clippers (-6.5) - The Clippers are this big of a favorite because the Bets are expected to be without Kevin Durant again. in the first matchup between these two teams the Nets got a 124-120 win, so the Clippers are looking for a little revenge. With Kawhi Leonard expected to play in this game, give us the Clippers to cover the spread. Pick: Los Angeles Clippers 121 Brooklyn 112

Sacramento at Milwaukee (-10) - The Bucks have one of the best offenses in the NBA. The Kings have one of the worst defenses in the NBA. That will mean an easy win for Milwaukee. Pick: Milwaukee 126 Sacramento 109

Happy picking everyone!
