What we got right:

College Basketball:

#9 Wisconsin at #7 Michigan - Six minutes left in the first half and the score was 26-23. With twelve minutes left in the second half the score was 62-26. Michigan went on a 36-3 run spanning the two halves. This Wolverines team is absolutely for real and can win the National Championship this year.

#19 Duke at #20 Virginia Tech - Duke once again proves that they are overrated, losing to Virginia Tech 74-69. Duke shot 27% from beyond the arc and only had 11 assists in this one. Virginia Tech never trailed in this game, and at one point led by 18. The Hokies controlled this game the whole way as Duke continues to struggle.

NBA:

Miami at Philadelphia - We said Miami was going to win, and even though they did lose 137-134 they covered the seven points so we got the win. Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo didn’t play in this one because of Covid concerns, and the Heat only played eight players. Kelly Olynyk played 45 minutes in the loss. Looking back at this game we have no idea how the Heat covered, but they did.

Utah at Cleveland - Another game where the Jazz were on fire from three. Utah went 24-45 from beyond the arc in this one, blowing out the Cavaliers 117-87. Cleveland went 8-31 from beyond the arc, and clearly didn’t have the gas to hang with the Jazz.

Los Angeles Lakers at Houston - The Rockets are a mess right now. After another big loss to the Lakers, this one 117-100, Houston dropped to 3-6. James Harden is going to get traded, it is just a question on where. Our guess is still Philadelphia or Brooklyn, but it would be hilarious if they traded him for Bradley Beal, pairing Harden and Russell Westbrook together again.

What we got wrong:

College Basketball:

#6 Kansas at Oklahoma State - True freshman Cade Cunningham scored 18 points in the Cowboys upset win over the Jayhawks. Oklahoma State had an 11 point lead at the break, and held on for the 75-70 win. Oklahoma State will probably be ranked after this win, while it will be interesting to see how for Kansas falls.

NBA:

Denver at Brooklyn - Kevin Durant scored 34 points and was one rebound shy of a triple double as the Nets rallied from down 18 points to beat the Nuggets 122-116. Caris LeVert also played well for the Nets, scoring 20 points on 8-15 shooting. Nikola Jokic had 23 points in the loss for the Nuggets.

San Antonio at Oklahoma City - Seven players scored in double figures for the Spurs, with Lonnie Walker leading the charge with 24 points, in the 112-102 win in Oklahoma City. The Thunder got 20 points from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but didn’t get enough help from their supporting cast. The Thunder’s reward for this loss is a matchup against the Lakers tonight.

Indiana at Golden State - Steph Curry had a better performance than the previous game, scoring 20 points on 7-17 shooting. Even without Victor Oladipo the Pacers had enough firepower to get the win, 105-94. Myles Turner led the way with 22 points and 12 rebounds, while Domantis Sabonis and Aaron Holiday also got double doubles in the victory for the Pacers.

* Please note that Tennessee Vanderbilt was postponed because of Covid concerns.
