College Basketball:

Pepperdine at #1 Gonzaga (-25.5) - Another day and another chance to finally pick a Gonzaga game right. We are 0-3 in picking them against the spread. Pepperdine hasn’t a played a game since December 23rd because of Covid concerns, as this is their reward. Playing a Gonzaga team that is one of the best college teams we have ever seen. NBA:

Miami at Philadelphia (-10.5) - These two teams played two nights ago, with the 76ers edging out the Heat in overtime. It looks like Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo are out for Miami, while Ben Simmons will play for Philadelphia in this one. We don’t think the Heat will get blown out in this one. They will lose, but by single digits. Pick: Philadelphia 118 Miami 112

Charlotte at Toronto (-9) - This spread is way too big. Yes the Hornets are playing the second night of a back to back, but has anyone seen the Raptors playing right now. They are 2-8 and look lost. This is another game where the favorite will win, but will not cover the spread. Pick: Toronto 113 Charlotte 108

Houston at San Antonio (-7) - The Spurs host the new look Rockets today in San Antonio, and we will be interested to see how many players suit up for Houston. The James Harden trade yesterday shocked the NBA world, but the Rockets got a nice return in four first round picks and former all star Victor Oladipo. We are guessing Oladipo doesn’t play in this one, and the Rockets will not have enough fire power to keep up with the Spurs. Pick: San Antonio 109 Houston 96

Golden State at Denver (-5) - Do the Warriors have anyone on their roster who can slow down Nikola Jokic? That is the big question as these two face off in Denver. We believe the answer to that question is no. Jokic will have another triple double and the Nuggets will win comfortably. Pick: Denver 122 Golden State 108

Indiana at Portland (-3) - Portland is flying high after that comeback over the Kings yesterday. The Pacers remade their roster in being a part of the James Harden trade. This game is going to be an entertaining high scoring affair, but at the end of the day we like the Blazers to cover. Pick: Portland 119 Indiana 111.
