College Basketball:

Purdue at #15 Ohio State (-5) - Ohio State looks to build on a three game winning streak, and now Purdue comes to Columbus to try and stop them. Purdue has won three games in a row as well, but Ohio State has played better teams in the last couple weeks. We are going with the Buckeyes to keep their streak going and stop the Boilermakers in their tracks. Pick: Ohio State 78 Purdue 70

#6 Tennessee (-7) at Florida - Florida is one of the bigger disappointments in the SEC this year, with a 3-3 conference record. The Volunteers were supposed to be good this year, but no one saw this level of defensive prowess coming. Tennessee has held their opponents to 57 points per game this year. We don’t think Florida will do much better. Pick: Tennessee 71 Florida 59

Maryland at #7 Michigan (-10.5) - Michigan looks to bounce back from their first loss of the season, and now plays a Maryland team that has already knocked off two ranked conference opponents. We don’t think it will be three today, but the Terrapins will cover the double digit spread. Pick: Michigan 82 Maryland 75

South Carolina at #19 Missouri (-5.5) - South Carolina has only played six games this year, and this will be their toughest test so far. We still think Missouri isn’t the 19th best team in the country, but we do think they will cover the spread here. Pick: Missouri 72 South Carolina 64

Penn State at #22 Illinois (-9.5) - Penn State is still winless in Big Ten play, and now has to travel to Champaign to play an Illinois team that is looking to rebound from two straight losses. Illinois is much more talented than Penn State, and in this one their talent will shine. Pick: Illinois 82 Penn State 67

Seton Hall at #3 Villanova (-9) - A Villanova sighting! This is the first game for the Wildcats since a December 23rd victory over Marquette. Will they come out rested or rusty? We think a little of both, and because of that the Pirates will keep this game close. Pick: Villanova 76 Seton Hall 71

#18 Alabama at LSU (-1) - The Crimson Tide have won seven games in a row and are a perfect 6-0 in the SEC. LSU is no slouch themselves as they have only lost once in conference play. We like how Alabama is playing right now, so even though this game is in Louisiana give us the Crimson Tide to get the win. Pick: Alabama 79 LSU 75

NBA:

Oklahoma City at Denver (-10) - Ten points seems like a lot for the Nuggets to be getting. They are 6-7 on the season and clearly aren’t playing their best basketball right now. Oklahoma City plays hard, even if they don’t have the most talented players. We are going with the Nuggets to win, but not cover at home against the Thunder. Pick: Denver 114 Oklahoma City 109

New Orleans at Utah (-6) - These two teams are heading in opposite directions right now. The Jazz have won five in a row, while the Pelicans have lost four out of five. We think that the Jazz will stay hot and will keep the Pelicans spiraling, covering the six points and winning comfortably. Pick: Utah 113 New Orleans 102
