We have one college football game featuring a ranked team and full slate of NBA games. Who do we like? Take a look below!
NBA:
Cleveland (-6) at Detroit:
The Cavaliers are still rolling, having won two overtime games against the Celtics in the last week, and six in a row overall. Donovan Mitchell is ailing and might not play in this one, but we are still going to roll with Cleveland to cover either way. Pick: Cleveland 125 Detroit 113
Miami (-3.5) at Indiana:
Miami is starting to find its stride, having won two straight tough games against the Warriors and Kings. Now they head to Indiana to face a pacers team coming off a loss to the Nets. We like the Heat to cover the spread, as we trust them more than the pacers. Pick: Miami 115 Indiana 103
New York at Philadelphia (-3.5):
The 76ers are missing James Harden and Joel Embiid is less than 100%, and they are favored against a Knicks team that has yet to win on the road. New York has lost three straight, but we think it gets turned around today. Give us the Knicks to not only cover, but win. Pick: New York 109 Philadelphia 104
Brooklyn at Washington (-3):
Under no circumstances are we picking the Nets right now. This team is a dumpster fire. Pick: Washington 122 Brooklyn 107
Chicago at Boston (-7):
The Celtics have to be happy they aren’t playing Cleveland, otherwise it would probably be another overtime loss. These two teams have played once this season, an eight point win at home for the Bulls, now they are playing in Boston and the Celtics are trying to return the favor. We think they will win, but they won’t cover the spread. Pick: Boston 116 Chicago 111
Charlotte at Memphis (-11.5):
Charlotte is missing four of their starters in this game, and their leading score playing in this game is Dennis Smith Jr. Smith is averaging 12 points a game. Memphis has no problem scoring, so we think this will be a blow out. You can take the points. Pick: Memphis 131 Charlotte 105
Los Angles Clippers (-4.5) at San Antonio:
Kawhi Leonard is still out for the Clippers, but they do have Paul George. George has had to carry the load for the Clippers this year, and this game will be no different. The Clippers haven’t beaten a team outside of Houston in the last week, and the Spurs are better than the Rockets. Give us San Antonio to win. Pick: San Antonio 108 Los Angeles Clippers 103
Toronto at Dallas (-3.5):
Pascal Siakam is playing the best basketball of his career for the Raptors, averaging 25 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists per game. Luka Doncic is right there with him in numbers, but the difference is the Raptors have more help. We like Toronto to not only cover, but win outright. Pick: Toronto 114 Dallas 108
Golden State at New Orleans (-4):
Golden State still hasn’t won a road game this year. Now they are heading to New Orleans, where Brandon Ingram is still injured, but Zion Williamson is healthy. The Warriors have lost four straight games. we don’t think it will be five. Give us Golden State to get the win. Pick: Golden State 116 New Orleans 111
Milwaukee (-3.5) at Minnesota:
Milwaukee is still undefeated, and they are usually covering the spread when they win. We are going to pick the bucks until someone knocks them off. We don’t think it will be today. Pick: Milwaukee 126 Minnesota 113
Portland at Phoenix (-10.5):
First Damian Lillard went out injured, and now Anfernee Simons is on the injury report for the Blazers. Portland has played well this year, but those two being out is the reason why this line is so high. Deandre Ayton will be missing the game for the Suns, and that is a reason why we don’t think they will win by double digits. Give us Portland to cover. Pick: Phoenix 113 Portland 106
Utah at Los Angles Lakers (-3)
Why the Lakers are favored in this one we really don’t know. Yes, Utah was supposed to be bad this year, but no one told the Jazz players that. The Lakers have won two games in a row. It will not be three. Pick: Utah 109 Los Angeles Lakers 102
NCAA Football:
#23 Oregon State at Washington (-4):
The only game of the night featuring a ranked team takes us to the Pac-12, where the Huskies are hosting the Beavers. The weather report calls for rain, which will hamper the Huskies high flying aerial attack. Oregon State is built to play in the rain, and that is why we think that they will not only cover the spread, they will win outright. It will be a low scoring ugly game, which is what the Beavers thrive in. Pick: Oregon State 20 Washington 17
Happy picking everyone!
