We got a lot of sports today. First games picking College Football, and some more NBA. For college Football we are only doing the ranked teams every week. Here we go!

NCAA Football:

Iowa at #2 Ohio State (-29.5):

Iowa hasn’t allowed more than 27 points all season, and they have allowed more than 14 just once. Now they are almost 30 point underdogs to Ohio State. We know that Ohio State is really good and Iowa can’t move the ball on offense, but we don’t think this game will be decided by more than four touchdowns. Give us the points. Pick: Ohio State 31 Iowa 13

UT Martin at #3 Tennessee (OFF):

This game has no line but we still pick Tennessee to win by 40. Pick: Tennessee 56 UT Martin 14

#14 Syracuse at #5 Clemson (-14):

This is when it all comes crashing down for Syracuse. They are a nice story and have risen all the way to into the top 15, but it ends here. We think Clemson is going to cover here. Pick: Clemson 37 Syracuse 21

#21 Cincinnati (-4) at SMU:

Cincinnati has lost one regular season game the last two years, and that was a hard fought game in Arkansas where they lost by a touchdown. This team is really good, and we are surprised they are only giving four points against an SMU team that has lost three out of its last four games. The Mustangs best win this year was against Navy. That is not exactly a compelling resume. Give us the Bearcats. Pick: Cincinnati 33 SMU 20

#7 Ole Miss at LSU (-1.5):

This game will be a lot of fun in our minds. How will Mississippi handle being the hunted in this game, instead of the hunter. Usually it is LSU coming into this game in the top ten, but not this year. We think there will be a lot of fireworks in this game, but in the end give us Lane Kiffin over Brian Kelly. Pick: Ole Miss 41 LSU 38

#9 UCLA at #10 Oregon (-7):

The game of the day brings us to Eugene, Oregon, where the undefeated Bruins and the once defeated Ducks square off. This is a possible preview of the Pac-12 Championship game, so the stakes are high. UCLA has higher asperations, and they are looking deadly. Despite all that, and Chip Kelly’s homecoming, give us the Ducks to cover. They are playing too well. Pick: Oregon 41 UCLA 31

#20 Texas (-6) at #11 Oklahoma State:

Oklahoma State is playing at home, they are the higher ranked team, and they are still a 6 point underdog to Texas? Call us confused. Oklahoma State has to be fuming mad after give giving up that lead against TCU last week. Mike Gundy will have the Cowboys ready to roll, and we like a double digit victory over the Longhorns today. Pick: Oklahoma State 34 Texas 20

Boston College at #13 Wake Forest (-20.5):

We didn’t realize that Boston College is this bad. Wake Forest is a good football team, but nearly a three touchdown favorite to the Eagles? Then we look at who BC has beat, and it is Maine and Louisville. That isn’t impressive, but almost 21 points is a lot. We think Wake Forest will win, but Boston College will cover. Pick: Wake Forest 41 Boston College 24

Memphis at #25 Tulane (-7):

Tulane is a surprise entry to the top 25. They are playing really good football, having lost just once this season. They don’t have any wins of note, but no bad losses either. Memphis comes into this game having lost two straight. We think it will be three after today. Pick: Tulane 31 Memphis 17

#24 Mississippi State at #6 Alabama (-21):

Alabama is going to be like Oklahoma State, a team coming off a loss playing another ranked team at home. The difference is they they are Alabama, and they are going to punish Mike Leach and Mississippi State. The Bulldogs will try to throw the ball all over the place, but the speed of the Alabama defense here will be the difference. Pick: Alabama 48 Mississippi State 20

Minnesota at #16 Penn State (-5):

Penn State really laid an egg last week against Michigan, getting outclassed in every way. The Wolverines exposed the offense for Penn State, allowing just 17 points, and seven of those were on a pick six. We know that Minnesota isn’t Michigan, but they are a good football team. Give us the Gophers to get the upset here today. Pick: Minnesota 24 Penn State 20

#17 Kansas State at #8 TCU (-3.5)

The final game of the day brings us to Ft. Worth, TX, where a ranked Big 12 matchup awaits. Kansas State is getting it done on the ground. TCU is getting it done with their defense. This is going to be a fun game and could be a preview of the conference championship game, as these are the final two undefeated teams in conference. We have been very impresses with K-State this year, but give us the Horned Frogs to get the win. Pick: TCU 28 Kansas State 20

NBA:

San Antonio at Philadelphia (-13):

We have been wrong both times picking the Spurs. In this one we think some load management will be coming out of the Philadelphia cam, and this line is awfully high, so give us San Antonio to cover, but not win. Pick: Philadelphia 116 San Antonio 109

Detroit (-1) at Indiana:

Both the Pistons and Pacers lost last night. Since both teams played last night, we are going to rely on the youth to bounce back quicker than the veterans. Detroit has more youth than Indiana, so give us the Pistons. Pick: Detroit 112 Indiana 105

Boston (-8.5) at Orlando:

Paolo Banchero gets to play in front of his home crowd for the first time this season. Too bad it isn’t a better matchup. Their are three clear tiers in the Eastern Conference this year. Boston is in the first tier and Orlando is in the third tier. We like what the Magic are doing, but we don’t like them against the Celtics today. Pick: Boston 126 Orlando 111

Toronto (-2.5) at Miami:

Are the Heat really going to fall to 0-3, with three straight home losses to start the season? We have picked Miami to win their first two games and have been wrong both times. We are going to ride with them again in this one. Pick: Miami 109 Toronto 103

Cleveland (-2) at Chicago:

This game is simple for us. When the teams are close together take the more rested team. Chicago played last night. Cleveland didn’t. Give us the Cavaliers to roll. Pick: Cleveland 127 Chicago 114

Houston at Milwaukee (-13):

Smart money is on Milwaukee here. They have had an extra day of rest and are a much better team. We have said throughout this website that we think Houston will be sneaking up on some people this season. It won’t be today. Milwaukee wins big and Giannis doesn’t play into the fourth quarter. Pick: Milwaukee 135 Houston 107

Memphis at Dallas(-6):

These two teams are so similar, that the big point spread has to be because Memphis played last night and Dallas didn’t. Otherwise neither team would be favored by more than three. We like Dallas to win this game, but Memphis to keep it close and cover. Pick: Dallas 125 Memphis 121

Oklahoma City at Denver (-7.5):

That was more like the Nuggets we expected this year, beating the Warriors yesterday. I mean we picked them to lose, but we still thought they would have a good season. This is another one where the favorite played last night while the underdog rested. Give us the underdog to cover in this one too. Pick: Denver 118 Oklahoma City 114

Los Angeles Clippers (-3) at Sacramento:

If the Clippers are going to have Kawhi Leonard come off the bench, this team is even scarier. With Kawhi leading the second unit and Paul George leading the first, there are no possessions off with this team. Sacramento will not be able to handle the pressure of the Clippers, so we expect Los Angeles to cover. Pick: Los Angeles Clippers 113 Sacramento 97

Happy Picking Everyone!
